Abstract |
After the trauma of her father’s death, Shannon, 16, rehabilitates a hobbled horse called Rainbow. She rides it to a win at the Meadows in a championship horse race, the Pennsylvania Cup.

The plot is based on an experience of Joe Mowod, a trainer of racehorses at The Meadows Casino and Racetrack in Washington County.
