Abstract |
Linda Delgado, an orphan at 14, works in her aunt Elba’s Mexican restaurant in rural Arizona. When Elba suffers a ministroke, Linda migrates to Pittsburgh to nest with her aunt Pat, host of Cooking from Cans, a tri-state hit. Linda settles in quickly with aunt Pat, her husband, and their dynamic brood: one bitter biological teenager and six other kids, each a domestic or foreign adoptee.
