Author Biography | Charles Rumford Walker Jr. (1893-1974), born in New Hampshire and educated at Yale University, was a World War I veteran. He researched automation and industrial history for a number of academic organizations, including Yale's Project on Technology and Industrial Relations. Steel was the first of his many books. |
