Abstract |
Frankie Paige (Patricia Arquette), an atheist hairdresser, is oddly smitten by stigmata—body marks that seem to correspond to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus—when her vacationing mother mails trinkets and a rosary from Brazil. Andrew Kiernan (Gabriel Byrne), a former scientist and Jesuit priest, investigates.
