Author Biography |
Hazel Hutchins Wilson (1898-92), born in Maine, earned degrees at Bates College and Simmons College. She was a librarian who wrote numerous children's books. Lawrence Beall Smith (1909-95), a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago, was a painter, sculptor, and illustrator of children's books.
