Abstract |
Marina Benedict, an actress, witnesses a baby being kidnapped in broad daylight and trails the thief and the baby, son of a rookie pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, to an abandoned North Side house. Soon Marina, too, is abducted.

Kathleen George (1943— ), born and raised in Johnstown, Cambria County, is professor of theater arts and creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh. She is the widow of the late novelist Hilary Masters. She lives in Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets. |
