| Abstract | Paramedic and deputy coroner Zoe Chambers responds to the shooting of Dennis Culp, a merciless bully from her high school class. The meek Horace Pavelka—Zoe's longtime friend and one of Dennis' bullying victims—pulled the trigger in self-defense, and is therefore not charged with a crime. However, when another one of Horace's tormentors turns up dead, police chief Pete Adams questions Horace's innocence in both cases. |
