Notes |
Based on the story by Willa Cather (1873-1947). After Willa Cather saw the 1934 film version of her novella, The Lost Lady, she forbade any future dramatization of her work. However, when her work became public domain, PBS included it in their The American Short Story series.
Directed by Lamont Johnson, Willa Cather’s Paul’s Case was filmed in Saratoga Springs, New York, in December 1978, and also starred Eric Roberts and Michael Higgins.
