Penn State Libraries Open Publishing offers a basic page content type to set up additional pages to provide context to your bibliography. These can become “About Us” pages, “Author information” pages or any other pages that will provide that additional information or institutional context to your bibliography to make your bibliography unique. Below are the step-by-step instructions on how to create and add these pages to your site.
- When logged in, select “Content”: “Add Content”: “Basic Page”.

- If the Body field does not show the toolbar editor, go to the Text format and change Basic or Restricted HTML to Full HTML. If you are using a smaller screen, you may see three dots by the body to expand the WYSIWYG toolbar. This will allow you to change the fonts, make things bold, add bulleted lists, etc. If you choose to use Heading tags, be sure to use them in the proper nesting order.
- On the right side of the screen, toggle on Provide a menu link under Menu Settings. This will add the basic page to the navigation menu. You can select the menu.
- Anytime you want to edit an already existing page, navigate to the page you want to edit and click edit at the top of the page. Add your information. On the Revision information tab, check the Create new revision and type in a sentence about your revision. Don’t forget to save! If you have already revised this page more than once, in the Revision log message box, type a sentence about your revision. Click Save.
