C6 -The female author was born in Scotland of Ghanaian parentage, raised in Ghana, educated in England where she earned a PhD in Architecture. She taught architecture in the United States, England, and South Africa, where she founded the Graduate School of Architecture, the only such school in Africa. In 2019, she was appointed Dean of the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City University of New York, but she resigned in 2020.
