Dystopia of the degeneration of the human race after a catastrophe and the failure of a what had been intended to be a technologically advanced underground utopia called Hypolitania based on science but dependent on the labor of what they called morons. What they called Primitivia and old Britain, which they thought no longer existed, survives and is more advanced in some areas than Hypolitania. Sequels were planned but do not appear to have been published.
