The author (b. 1973) who was born Niklas Boström in Sweden and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Swedish universities, and MSc. From King’s College London, and a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford, the Founding Director of the Future of Humanity Institute, University of Oxford from 2005 to 2024 and is now the Principal Researcher at the Oxford Macrostrategy Research Initiative.
