| Author Note | The female author’s name (b. ca. 1865 is sometimes given as Edith Porch-Cecil Maturin, Mrs. Fred Maturin, and Edith Money Maturin, and Edith Cecil-Porch. She was born in India in about 1865 as Edith Emily Money, married Frederick Harvey Maturin in 1882, and they moved to England in 1896. They separated in 1902 and in 1910 she was living in South Africa with Fred Porch but by 1915 had returned to England. |
