The author (1972-2015) was born in India and lived in Canada. The name on the story is Khria Deefholts and the author appears to have mostly published using this name, but her website gives her name as Anduril Elessar, a.k.a. Susan Deefholts and all of the obituaries give her name has Susan Lynne Deefholts, and she practiced as a lawyer under that name.
