In this volume, the protagonist, Sibling Dex, a young gay man who becomes a monk, realizes that he has to change his life and becomes a tea monk, someone who wanders the planet offering tea and listening to peoples’ problems. After becoming successful, he decides to enter the wilderness, where he meets a robot, Splendid Speckled Mosscap, and they develop a relationship.
