Author Biography
Richard Powers (1957- ), raised in suburban Chicago, is the author of eleven novels. He has been awarded a MacArthur Fellowship, the Lannan Literary Award, two Pushcart Prizes, and the National Book Award. He is an English professor at the University of Illinois.
