Young adult dystopia. The extremely rich and powerful versus the extremely poor and effectively enslaved. A girl from the top and a boy from the bottom are forced by circumstances to flee the dystopia, with most of the action of the novel concerned with the flight, the rescue of the boy's father, and a brief return to the dystopia.
