Part a climate change novel in that Earth is burning up and damaged by storms, and one of the point-of-view characters is trying to develop algae that he hopes will moderate or even reverse global warming. Part a corporate dystopia in that the owners of Parallaxis are developing an algorithm to modify human behavior. Part a coming-of-age novel and part family saga. Loose ends suggest a sequel. |
